Objective 1.4  Evaluate the economic, political, and cultural impact of interregional trade networks.

In a Nutshell

As civilizations expanded, the desire for more and better goods also increased. Students should understand that the desire to improve human's standard of living and the accumulation of wealth motivated interregional and global trade. Trade, in turn, facilitated interaction between cultures leading to cultural diffusion, incidents of conflict, and efforts of cooperation, becoming an engine for the interchange of economic and political ideas.
